On 14 – 15 October 2024, a scientific discussion meeting will be held at the Royal Society in London, on the topic of cytomegalovirus (CMV).
This meeting will be led by Dr Tom Yates and Dr Helen Payne, from the Department of Infectious Disease at Imperial College London.
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common virus. The indirect effects of this virus include a statistical excess of cardiovascular disease and non-CMV infections, seen in people with CMV.
This meeting will bring together laboratory scientists, paediatric and adult clinical academics, epidemiologists and trialists.
Speakers and participants will discuss the latest research on the indirect effects of cytomegalovirus, from mechanisms to clinical significance.
There will be a poster session on Monday 14 October 2024. Attendees can apply to present a poster.
This meeting is free to attend and is intended for researchers in relevant fields. Advance registration is essential. In-person and online attendance is available.
